Beth & Daniel, Westover Hall
I get to see beautiful weddings all the time. Great venues, lovely people, happy days. Brides and Grooms often treat me like I guest and welcome me into their special day and family. Beth & Dan’s wedding was all of the above plus a whole lot more as I actually was a guest.
It was a day of not taking photographs (much) and being able to watch two great friends secure their love for each other and begin their lives as Mr & Mrs Miles. I’ve known Dan for about 20 years and know that he and Beth are perfect for each other. She looked wonderful and their happiness was infectious.
In short, a fantastic day. Emotionally charged - tears were flowing particularly hard for me - and packed to the brim with love, fun and friends. It was a boozy day as well (thanks to the free flowing drinks) and a precious opportunity for time with friends. Lifelong friends.
Photographically the day was in safe hands. Mister Phill took care of that and he’s assured. One of the best. I didn’t even think about taking a camera - I don’t do that as a guest - so this is more about words and to say thank you to Beth & Dan. Mr & Mrs Miles: congratulations. You rock. Love ya.

Monaco 2011 - The Man from Del Monte’s Stag
As we were there two weeks before the Monaco GP, the track was pretty much setup for the race and it was very cool to walk around and the police hardly chased us at all.
My phone battery ran out during the first night and as no one had thought to bring an adaptor (brilliant) I couldn’t charge it up. Hence there are no photographs of our Sunseeker trip on the Sunday. Given how seasick I felt (only the second time in my life) the pictures wouldn’t have been too good anyway. And it was raining. A lot.
All in all a great weekend arranged by James who had expertly delegated a lot of the organisation to his wife Lisa. Everything went like clockwork. Mostly.
Wick Farm
Busy day today. And hot. Didn’t get much time to take many non-SLR shots but managed to grab a couple of these nice little flourishes. Great wedding. Looking forward to processing the full set.
Gardening Day
Gardening is probably stretching it a little. Getting covered in dirt and making an absolute mess would be more accurate.
Kingston Bagpuize House
Yesterday’s wedding was my second shooting alongside Allister and was a really stunning venue. The house and grounds were beautiful and lived in. This is a family home so everything inside was authentic and used. Pretty cool. The wedding images are looking fantastic. I’m learning a great deal from Allister and his way if working. Until those are fully processed, here’s a few random iPhone shots. I’m going to process all my iPhone shots the same way now. Consistency is a good thing.
